Organisations invited to apply for funds to promote organ donation among BAME communities

We are calling for funding applications from organisations to help them to promote deceased organ donation among black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

We’d like your help in identifying community led organisations that may have the skills, experience and passion to make a difference in this important area of organ donation.

We are looking for applications for funding from community and faith based organisations to positively engage local communities in organ donation, address myths and barriers, and increase support for organ donation among black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

Applications are open from today. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 24 September 2018.

Organisations applying for funds can apply for one of two options; funds up to £2,499 or £2,500 and above.

Funding is available for projects in England and / or Wales.

The projects would need to be completed by end June 2019.

Find out more about the scheme, application process, judging process, current attitudes towards organ donation among black and Asian communities, and what is expected in terms of project evaluation.

To support bidders with their applications, we will be holding a free workshop on Thursday 13 September from 10am-2pm in Herschel Conference and Meeting Room at Mary Ward House, 5 – 7 Tavistock Place, London WC1H 9SN. To reserve a place, please email
