Every morning I wake up and think ‘is this the day Elliot has his first major chest infection? How will he cope with it? I worry about how he’ll manage with school and adult life, if he makes it that far.
In my last blog I introduced you to our supplier performance management tool called QCLDM. This is a subject very dear to my heart as it is a matrix which I was asked to develop and implement, based on many years of experience of supplier management, mainly outside of IT. Interestingly when I compared it with way Crown Commercial Services measure their supplier performance, it was very similar.
John Beall from Blyth in Northumberland has become one of the youngest people in the country to join the newly formed 500+ club at Newcastle Blood Donor Centre.
We always give up things in the New Year but what about giving something instead? To ensure we have the right mix of blood to match patients’ needs, and replace those who can’t donate any more, we are asking people to make a resolution to give blood in 2016.
