Study shows antibodies can impact transplanted hearts

A recent follow up study, carried out by our colleagues in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (H&I) Blood laboratoryin collaboration with the Freeman Hospital, has shown that the formation of antibodies against a transplanted heart can have an impact on the future function of the organ and early intervention is key to preventing this.
